Your point is much more clear on the point. My comments didn't really have much of a point except that everyone wants to help the blacks in Africa, especially in areas like Dafur. I have never seen anyone campaign for the rights of Arabs in the ME. No one is talking about women's rights in Islam, where they are treated like property. I think that is one of the biggest reasons we are having so much of a hard time in the war in Iraq. There is no movement towards a free based democracy, only a democratic vote for a new group of Muslims leaders.

I was just reading the comments by the Hamas leader, vowing never to recognize Israel until the liberation of Juruseleum. The comments coming out of Lebanon aren't too productive now either. I think the only way the ME is going to feel better to continue violence, jihad, and more anti Western sentiment.

Obviously, I think that we should be supporting our allies in the governments that OPPOSE these terrorists. Our policy cannot be to defeat the terrorists, but to throw them back into torture chambers they find unsuitable. I don't think that people in our culture are capable of understanding that peace is not the objective of these people, only global intolerance and violence.

It makes me very uncomfortable to think about the lack of progress that we can achieve in the ME. It never gets any better, given the way they have chosen to restrict their progress as a society.
