?Scaled down MSM6xxx chip??? The chief problem of the blockbuster MSM6xxx is that samples don't ship for one year. Could/would Qcom be quicker to market with a chip with all the features of the MSM6xxx EXCEPT compatibility with WCDMA and GPRS? Such a chip would provide the 1X overlay for GSM networks and roaming between CDMA and GSM networks, which are the immediate needs. The only reason to make such a chip is if it could be done significantly quicker. Any thoughts?
