Promotional give aways at a grand opening of a real neighborhood store work. That old technology still works in the real world. The cyberworld needs to develop some new promotional ideas for the cyberworld. In the real world, the neighborhood store gets repeat business because of travel limitations. There are no travel limitations in the cyber world. This competitive advantage over the real world also has disadvantages with cyber competitors.

I return to cyberstores I have used and received a good discount compared to real stores. I also use cyberstores to buy items not easily located in local stores at a good price. I view cyberstores as discount catalog stores and buy based on the price. If they weren't cheaper, I would go to the hassle of using them.

You work in the business. Does the cyberworld have a clue to the answer?
