To say you don't point any gun at anyone including toy guns, is an idiotic statement.
People have been shot and killed when someone has pointed and pulled the trigger of what was thought to be a toy gun and it turned out to be real.

Conversely, there was the case of the kid in Cleveland who was shot and killed by the police after he was reported to have waved a gun around and pointed it at people. It was an airsoft (toy) gun.
