I am not sure that companies such as this are really "competition." They are certainly investment opportunities for us. For a similar company that you can invest in see RMAG.

Registry Magic produces phone answering systems. They just merged with a company that has a niche within a certain industry, apparently as does the company you mentioned. I believe there will be many players such as these.

General Magic could compete with these players, IMHO, if they were interested-perhaps they shouldn't be, I don't know their business plan.

That would take hiring very entreprenurial marketing manager and sales manager within the division of the business that is developing products for GM, Excite, and likely soon to be aol. They would have to target specific industries, market and sell. The tie in with the co. that GMGC spun off would be a natural for that.

Or, to compete with the company you mentioned and RMAG, GMGC could work with a distributor or distributors in those fields who already have the contacts, and using their leverage and relationships GMGC could ramp up easily.

But, a small company can only do so much without losing focus.SM has the world by the short hairs with all of this happening and the lack or real competition, with real, right now products. He must execute, execute, execute. I believe that he can do that. I really hope that he is a marketing visionary, beneath it all, and that he turns out to be a good negotiator. Or that the CFO is.

I, for one, am very satisfied that the bet that I placed on the company will probably pay off. Lets enjoy this. Unless you have been very lucky in your life, financially, a run up like we will probably see should be a peak experience to be enjoyed.

If this is successful, we will all have 2 important decisions to make. When do I sell? How much do I sell? These will not be easy decisions.

We do have major competition on the horizon if Motorola bought Nuance, as I believe is the case.

I would be interested in hearing from others, with well thought through analyses, how that might play out, and what the implications are.
