I would bet if they did a 10 billion cash for clunkers and oil heating boilers whereby people would get a $5,000 rebate if they traded in their cars for a car that gets twice the gas milage; and a $5,000 rebate for exchanging one regular boiler for an on demand boiler (that saves at least a 1/3) that program alone would save more oil than we get out of the gulf in deep water wells.

Conservation is the answer, not deep water drilling.

Look what we are turning over to the kids. A destroyed denuded and polluted planet. Shame on us.

PS regular oil burners must keep the heat at 150 degrees. The new on demand boilers only go when the exact temperature is reached. When I put mine in I saved about half on my oil bill as I ahd an old boiler. My new boiler is the size of a suitcase.

Very few homes have the new boilers as they last 30 years and most people have not converted.
