QP2 scan language question
Hi, everyone.
I'm new to QP2, and I've been greatly enjoying its programming flexibility. There is one question I have, though. When you have specified a list file as an input, the scan is invoked one time for each security listed in the *first column* of the input list.
My question is, is there any way to access data in other columns of the list? In other words, if a previous scan output a list of security names in the first column as well as some number in the second column (such as the output of a custom indicator...), when the list is used as the input to a second scan, is the second column loaded into some variable that can be accessed within the second scan? This would help greatly with some of the backtesting I am trying to do...
Also, it would be helpful if there was some way to invoke a subroutine. I am guessing that there is no such feature, but if there is a way to do it, I'd appreciate a pointer.
Thanks a lot for any help!
