A serious question, X: Why not? I can understand your not wanting to pay for religious education. However, I went to a parochial school and religious education was a class. Religion did not get all smushed together with history or mathematics or any other subject. Our texts were not fraught with religion; they were the customary texts.

It does seem a bit much that people whose children attend parochial schools end up paying both freights.
