You're just beating a dead horse. It's clear that a series to which only downward revisions and price substitution strategies are applied is a joke. They don't even use the CPI when indexing the ceiling on Social Security taxes. Last year, the ceiling rose over 6% to $ 72,600. They impose the phony CPI when indexing the tax brackets on the income tax rates and on government benefits. There's no real fiscal restraint on the part of government and on discretionary spending by government, in particular.
