I read something a little while ago that said that ALRI people want to drive the price of LGND down.

That would be Henry's post #7514.

There are of two ways of looking at the "value" of the conversion. One valuation is speculative - you buy ALRI to "somehow" get into LGND because you speculate that the shares you get will be much greater (and the more you have the better). The second is to try and determine the present value of the price at conversion, without looking at the value past the exchange. In the post, I was talking about the second. From a pure numbers side, that's what those people are getting on Nov. 3.
