CLEVELAND, Dec. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- KeyLink(SM) Systems, a Pioneer-Standard Electronics, Inc. company (Nasdaq: PIOS - news), today announced it has signed an agreement and will become one of the first value-added distributors to offer the Red Hat (Nasdaq: RHAT - news) Linux operating system. Red Hat is looking to expand its customer base to include both small- to medium-sized and enterprise businesses, and KeyLink Systems offers a substantial North American customer base to fulfill Red Hat's needs.
Major vendors, such as Compaq Computer Corporation, IBM, Intel and Oracle, have endorsed the open-source operating system offered by Red Hat. Compaq's AlphaServer and IBM's Netfinity line of servers are Linux-ready, meaning a value-added distribution partner like KeyLink Systems can offer complete solutions to its more than 4,500 reseller partners.
