Bushies announced terrorist bank account crackdowns in 2003, including, as you can read here "strengthening laws" to go after suspect bank accounts more easily. state.gov That is axactly what the Ny Times and WSJ articles were about. Personally, I didn't consider it news at all, much less something that hurts out war on terror. In fact, I doubt it will make a single bit of difference in catching a single terrorist. The only real issue here is the fact Bush-Cheney continue skirting the mandatory FISA courts and congressional oversight laws, making them a criminal administration abusing their power. because there is no real excuse for it whatsoever. They could easily get FISA warrants for any legit terrorist bank account interdiction.
