Corel Launches Corel Print House 2000 for Macintosh: Creativity takes a new turn with new home publishing & photo-editing application
OTTAWA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 17, 1999--COREL Corel Corporation (NASDAQ:CORL - news; TSE:COR. - news) today announced the launch of Corel Print House(tm) 2000 for Macintosh(r), the latest version of Corel's home publishing and photo-editing application.

Scheduled to be widely available on store shelves across North America later this month, Corel Print House 2000 for Macintosh will sell for a suggested retail price of $79.95 U.S.* or $99.95 CAN*.
Corel Print House 2000 for Macintosh provides users with step-by-step guides and drawing tools that make it easy to create graphics projects for print or the Internet. Users of all skill levels can make greeting cards, calendars, certificates, crafts, banners, invitations, signs, masks and other stationery items.
Corel Print House 2000 for Macintosh includes the following applications:
Corel Print House(tm) 5: Corel Print House(tm) 5 allows users to create unique printed projects -- greeting cards, envelopes, banners and calendars -- from sample project files or from scratch. The Notebook assists users with every stage of the project creation process, from choosing a project type to printing the finished product. Corel Photo House(tm) 5: Corel Photo House(tm) 5 is a photo-editing and painting program that is ideal for retouching and enhancing photographs or giving them dramatic impact with more than 30 fun effects. The Notebook guides users through the steps to replace color or backgrounds, combine photos or add text. Favorite photos can be e-mailed, posted to the Web or used to make exciting creations with Corel Print House 5. Plus! The applications in Corel Print House 5 also include: 80,000+ graphic images, 4,100+ templates, 1,000+ phrases, 400 cutouts, 300+ TrueType(r) fonts, 340+ frames, 200+ backdrops and 150 borders.

Internet-ready applications: Corel Print House 2000 for Macintosh lets users create projects, publish them to HTML and publish them to a Web server in a few easy steps. As a result, users do not need to learn the complexities of HTML or FTP in order to publish their documents to the Web. Once users have completed a project and published it to HTML, they can simply supply the URL where they would like to publish the files, as well as the appropriate user name and password to access the site, and watch Corel Print House 2000 for Macintosh do the rest. Users can then go to the URL in their Web browser and see the results instantly. Enhanced navigation buttons: The Notebook has enhanced navigation buttons to guide users step-by-step through their projects. The three buttons, Back, Home and Help, resemble those found on most Web browsers. Search Engine: Corel Print House 2000 for Macintosh lets users search libraries for photos, clipart, backdrops or borders. Drag and Drop: Corel Print House 2000 for Macintosh lets users drag templates, photos and clipart directly into any application or project.
System Requirements
Corel Print House 2000 for Macintosh requires a Mac(r) OS 8.1 or later, a Power Macintosh(r) with 32 MB RAM, virtual memory enabled and a CD-ROM drive. For enhanced capabilities, Corel recommends 64 MB RAM, a color printer, Internet access, a scanner and a digital camera.
