I have to agree that the "G*USA" (nee Airtouch Satellite Services) coverage map is very incompetently done. For one thing, it's contrary in several respects with the G*/BLS party line. For example, it shows initial coverage in Peru, and Australia but not in Argentina. More importantly, the year end 2000 coverage implies no N. Atlantic GW, and no nationwide coverage in Australia, Brazil or Russia. And, as Pooky wrote, it implies all countries within geometric range of GW will have coverage, obvious regulatory and political issues notwithstanding. Does G*USA really believe G* will be licensed to operate in Cuba, Libya, Iraq and Iran?? IMO, Iridium's coverage maps are well done and should be used as a style model by G*. It will be particularly interesting to compare the areas where G* has terrestrial roaming agreements with Iridium's.

As for India, last information from the company I saw was that SP negotiations there were held up by a lawsuit filed by the Korean's former in-country partner.
