He never learned any new languages and doesn't even own a PC. He says his employer should have paid to teach him new languages but they did not want to train him. He's actually been out of work for a while. My younger sister was sort of in the same boat but did write some sort of useful thing while working for Microsoft so after she was laid off last year she is temping for the company that bought the thing she wrote, training people to use it, and will soon be out of work herself. She does have her own PC but isn't terribly computer savvy. I think she studied French in college but has no degree of any kind. I can't imagine being in either of their shoes. What were they thinking? Going to law school will not cause dollars to fall from the heavens, either.
