How much credibility have we gained by invading Iraq?

Controversial as folks like you would like to make out to be, there have been successes, most notably Libya. When our PSI program caught them red-handed shipping nuclear equipment from Pakistan, Libya's government immediately agreed to open themselves up to inspection. All of their equipment was shipped to the US for destruction.

We overthrew Saddam. Now we have militant religious factions attempting to thwart any attempt at forming a secular and democratic government in Iraq.

As far as I'm concerned, this battle against militant Jihadists in Iraq is FAR MORE legitimate, in light of the events of 9/11, than upholding those UN resolutions.

And for people, like yourself, to deny that we have a tremendous stake in preventing the formation of an Jihadist oriented Islamic state in Iraq (whether Sunni or Shia) is to just ignore the realities.

Now.. once again, how will removing coalition forces in Iraq reduce the violence.

And how does this match the belief that introducing UN troops to Darfur reduce violence there?
