Someone on the Yahoo board knew about the tax thing so that would have been a way to find out. There had to be some reason why the analysts forecasts were so low. Unfortunately, since amcc won't make much if any more this year than last, thanks to tax, I doubt it will grow wings yet. Although who knows. I'm wondering why this market is dominated by such relatively tiny companies (amcc and vtss). Perhaps someone big will buy one of them... or start competing with them.
