I read a news report that said QLT's SNDA with the FDA is for both early and late stage lung cancers, and not just for palliative care. QLT is already marketing Photofrin in Japan for 5 different types of cancer including both early and late stage lung cancers. I think the stock is moving because of the potential size of the US Lung Cancer market, which now may only be a few months away, (compared to just Esophogeal cancer) as well as the potential market worldwide for treating AMD with their 2nd generation drug BPD.
