I really don't understand your comment, too cryptic for my understanding.
Reader Rabbit I learned to read using 'Fun with Dick and Jane'.

In 1990 Central Texas was still reeling from a variety of oil and land price collapses that had resulted in a couple years of repetitive bank failures. I know I had 7 different banks without changing the account. In many cases I never even got checks with the new bank's name before it failed and took on a new name.

Things were good the rest of the 90's, that is until the new Governor had this insistence on tax cuts that nobody had really asked for. The state economy began collapsing soon after but didn't tank big time until that same governor repeated the mistakes after being selected for a high government position.
