I don't like the SEC settlement either, or the implications of it, (except that I like it that Howard and Verrando personally took the fall, paying the fine out of their own pockets); but I do note that the standard the SEC held them up to was described by a commentator I quoted here as basically history-making, unprecedented, and presenting a new level of responsibility to which other companies would have to now rise for the first time.

Given those comments, don't you suspect that lots of companies you believe in (translation: expect to join in the future earnings of) have management who've done things you wish they hadn't?

All I'm saying is that the subject of the management of Presstek is still relevant if you believe they can't be relied on to make this into a great company with great products and great alliances and great earnings and great profits to their investors-- and even to be, given the scrutiny they're under, purer than the purest management of any company in which you now own shares.

If you believe all that stuff, don't invest in Presstek. If you think it's ridiculous and getting real old, invest now, for the long term, and make a lot of money, is my humble advice.
