I didn't know what to expect from the market. For all intents and purposes, bin Laden has been dead (not dead enough) because we haven't had any major events. All that will change IF something happens. The ugly truth is with just 9/11 the guy changed the way the United States operates forever. Just working with raw numbers (not the loss of life) that one act imposed trillions of dollars in expenses (military, homeland security etc etc) in shot. I go for stretches when I don't think about 9/11 but when something draws my attention to it I get the same jolt of anger I had on that day. It changed our lives and the world. Maybe it's just my perception but things never seemed to get back to "norm" after that day.
