Scumbria - CPQ vs. Dell In ~'91 CPQ probably did feel the effects of Dell's more efficient business model. However, there should have been plenty of time for them to adjust to this by ~'97, when CPQ stock price went flat. Wasn't it around '97 that CPQ began extensive support of AMD's product line?
