Ed,
Das is not good. I don't think state judges have the authority to order recalls. Hope it gets over turned on appeal.

Judge orders recall of up to 1.7 million Ford cars and trucks Oakland,
Calif.--Oct. 11--In an unprecedented move, a state judge ordered the recall of
as many as 1.7 million Ford cars and trucks, accusing the automaker of
"concealment of a dangerous condition." Superior Court Judge Michael E.
Ballachey said Ford knew the vehicles were prone to stalling, especially when
the engine was hot, but failed to alert consumers. Ford Motor Co. (F) said it
would appeal the decision. ( Story .20265 )
