Just like everything else you did not think this through. It is both polite and useful to copy and post the statement you are responding to.

Many people read these threads, so how are they supposed to know what you are talking about?

And I post on many threads and don't keep track of every post into perpetuity.

Copying and posting the question you are responding to makes the dialogue more clear to everyone.

Or is that just too much trouble for you? If you are going to take the time to post it then do it right. That includes thinking through what you are talking about.

And yes, they were make work jobs, but they did a lot of good and helped starving people.

You right wingers just don't give a dang about the suffering of others do you?

Even if you can't keep track of the context of other people's post, I would figure you would know what you yourself posted, or at least that you could click back to the post that I posted in reply to.

You where talking about FDR, and complaining that he created job (to a degree makework jobs but you didn't mention that part, while the Republicans did nothing.

Doing nothing, while not an accurate representation of their actions, would be better than many of FDR's actions, such as (but not only) ordering the destruction of large amounts of good when people where hungry and causing it to be more expensive to employ people and conduct business, while unemployment was at record levels.
