Israel proves there is a military solution to terrorism. Because we know there is a military solution to terrorism, we are at war. Kerry's police solution has a favorable history too. It works against small terrorist orgs like the McVeigh/Nichols partnership, the unabomber, and the Rajneesh bio-terror in Oregon. AQ, Hamas, Hizbollah, etc, are not well-suited for a police solution for two reasons. They operate across numerous country boundaries. Indeed their operations are seen across several continents. They are huge orgs. We have estimates that Muslim militant extremists, dedicated to killing all Jews, Christians and Americans, number as many as 15 million. No police force or combination of police forces is equipped to handle that. If Kerry had not been AWOL for one year from his job on the Senate Intelligence Committee he would know that. The year Kerry missed work is the year the initial analysis, projections and planning for counter-terror operations was done. When Kerry says counter-terror is a police matter, he sounds dumb. The problem may not be that he is dumb as much as it is that he is uninformed. uw
