Perhaps one of the greatest "killer aps" whose time has come is WI-FI. When Intel builds these radios into all its mother boards - an upgrade cycle will result. We have all become info junkies - but contrary to our likes - we've been tied to our desktops hooked up to a cable. WI-FI will allow us to go wireless within a small bubble and the best part is satellites will allow that bubble to travel. Freedom to move about and have our fix of data will become standard - but as Cary points out - innovation takes time. kvh.com
