Almost went on a China tour in 2019. The price was absurdly cheap. Then I read some reviews. The tour company was clearly owned by CCP. People complained they’d be taken to government-owned shops and pressured to by overpriced goods. People who tried to opt out of the shopping trips were threatened their tour would be canceled and they’d be sent home.

I went to Viet Nam and Cambodia instead and had a great time.
