MAI

The IKN newsletter this weekend included a long analysis of the deal announced last week that cratered the share price of Minera Alamos aka MAI. To summarize, regardless of what MAI management says, this is a pivot rather than a continuation, indicating the Mexican operations just weren't doing well enough. IKN also tells us that the operating Pan mine in Nevada bought as part of the deal is profitable and can easily be made more so.

Based on conversations with management, according to IKN the new plan is to first concentrate on Pan and bringing the also newly purchased (and permitted) Gold Rock deposit into production while changing course on Copperstone in Arizona by generating an FBS, with the Mexican operations waiting in the wings in case permits come through at last. IKN also expects a 10 for 1 rollback at some point as total shares out will be well over 1B as things proceed, followed by listing on the TSX main board and Nasdaq They wall also have a large cash stash by the time the deals are complete.

Bottom line for IKN -- MAI will be moved from Top Pick to Recommended, leaving only RIO with the latter designation.

Luckily for me, RIO continues to set AThs, assuaging the I hope temporary decline in the value of my MAI shares.
