I am more grateful for scientists and the thinkers like Plato. Their thinking gave us democracy and their science gave us operations free of pain and antibiotics to cureinfection and has saved my life many times already. I respect scientists. I was never smart enough to be one, but I am smart enough to listen to them! And support them. As they will be the ones to decide if we make it as a species or not. The future is fraught with danger. And it is very complex, so you need guys and gals who can solve very complex problems. Not mindless blowhards. We need to be able to trust our decisions and the only ones using experimentation and statistics I know of are the scientists. That is what it takes and the pubs do not seem to have a clue. It is friggen mind boggling.
