All I said was that smog is less a problem than a decade ago, thanks to continuing improvements in fuel demand per kilometer and to the catalysator. I live in Cologne, population about a million, and I can remember how cars looked and smelled one or two decades ago. Sure, there are more cars now.

In April I was in Ireland. Landing at Dusseldorf I could see the continental pollution and was shocked. It was not that brilliant colorful glance we could see in Ireland. It was sort of grey, brown, and less vital.

And I'm invested in Ballard because of these environmental reasons. I prefer to drive clean and I like the oil reserves not to be depleted in a second. I could cry seeing some two billion people in Asia driving ICE cars.

So, please, just take it as I said it: a) I believe that environmental initiatives are more popular in the States than in Germany. We have no political/governmental ZEV initiative here. b) Smog IMHO is *less a problem* than one or two decades ago, despite the fact that it still *is* a problem.

BTW, my feeling is that in the last years people buy bigger and bigger cars, regardless of how much fuel they need. A lot of those buyers are people who are mid-30, like me.

Sure, we have people interested in future technology like people at Daimler-Benz and me. :-)
