Michael-- do not be! CPQ could not get a top person with the required experience at this time. Maybe next year. In the mean time that is one of the first jobs we know they are doing without,, 5K more to go... LOL! It is very difficult finding a cfo anywhere at this time. Finding one for cpq has to be ten times as hard,, they could not even get a ceo! Which is the other problem, any cfo coming from a company big enough to understand the position and have the know how or experience to make a difference would feel (possibly correctly) they are more qualified for the ceo than MC making conditions difficult. IMO it is a non-issue,, one that cannot be delt with successfully at this time. Unless we want my old Bus Acctg prof (who must be 80 by now) Like MC I would give up for awhile too...
Instead--- lets see movement on the headcount reduction and other items that effect the bottom line,, get the sales staff in a 'kick ass' mood, do some damn thing to get the stock moving in the correct direction that they have some control over,,, MC, BEN, no one is going to get a top notch cfo into cpq now short of kidnapping,,, |
