Do not forget that the neo-cons want to attack Syria even though that nation is ruthlessly secular and has tortured people on behalf of the US. Syria wants Israel to return lands taken in 1967 -- and that puts them in the Bushie/Zionist doghouse no matter what services they have rendered in the past.
