Big oil is now a monopoly because they collude. You present no evidence for that assertion. Aslo even if collusion was rutine it would technically be a cartel not a monopoly. If they do rutinely collude they are very bad at it considering their profit margins. As soon as Bush-Cheney are gone, prices will plummet because gouging investigations will be on the way. If I figured I could count on you to pay I'd offer a large bet. If such investigations do happen and effectively function as price controls, expect gas lines to return.
