Compaq blamed lower earning to bad product mix -- too much low end product! One COMPAQ source message I received today from overseas said that it has been explained by at least one executive as a wrong mix of products - with too much emphasis on the low-margin stuff. For a comprehensive view we will have to await the numbers. Intel is alright.
