My observation during the time that I watched O'Reilly--before the way he shuts down his guests turned me irrevocably off--was that he is more a libertarian type of conservative than a traditionalist, Bill Bennet type. IMO that mitigates the hypocrisy a tad. It's the holier than thou types whose less than holy personal practices really rankle.
