Scott, Re: I just wondered how can there possibly be enough high paying jobs out there to sustain all of those huge mortgages. Popular mythology is that we in SD are immune from downturns...I think not...a stabilizer is the amount of federal money injected into the economy, but those are not high end jobs...but they do mask the underlying weakness in an economy that was bubbled by the now-shredded telecom industry. New black SUVs crowd the freeways...skycranes are on the downtown skyline... still, I think we are running on fumes... As Richard Russell says, a year from now, we will all be facing a much different economy....jj
