Thanks for kind words. Hard to say what a fair value is--what someone else will pay, I guess. Most short sales are short term propositions to me. It's too easy for a stock to turn up at some point, especially
in this 14 year bull market. Come the big bear, whenever that may be. being long will be short term and vice versa. Maybe in our lifetimes..
My only present short is Compaq, and put on Centocor. I'm not enjoying
the CPQ so far. Unfortunately most of my assets are in my IRA, so I
have to be mostly on the long side (mostly tech stuff these days; I am
a bottom feeder and call writer for the most part and I don't do
momentum).
