Is this the concern about ARs growing faster than revenues? that CTXS has "robbed Peter to pay Paul. Perhaps they needed to bring some sales into this quarter (at the end) to make the top and bottom line numbers. If so, these sales, which might have naturally occurred next quarter, could lead to a shortfall next quarter." (quote from RB thread)
How can we tell if they did this, or if the rise in receivables occurred for benign reasons, due to acceleration of sales without any intent to "meet a number."
If these receivables are less than or about 30 days old, that could just as well mean a late quarter surge in sales not backdating of next quarter's sales. So how do we know what went down?
