RUMOR! We over on the ACT Networks (ANET) thread have heard a rumor that ASND my be in talks to buy ANET. Actually, we heard a couple of cos. may be interested. Help us out, PLEASE. Anyone hearing this? Can you check around with your sources? (I'm still investigating.) ANET is big into WAN, voice-over FR, and is now getting into high-density, voice-over IP. We've been hammered though lately. Missed quarter, trouble integrating another co. they bought earlier this year, just bought another co. yesterday (Sourcecom); ((Sourcecom is into telephony and voice-over IP)), order shortfall from Brazil. (Also, as a side note, they have an investment in a co. called Netspeak...also a voice-over co..) It looks messy this week, then today they announce a buyback (if they do it) of up to 10m shares. Thanks for your help. A buyout would be great for us long on ANET.
