Jozef Re...Itanium is a champion of commitments. I don't think Hammer will ever reach the number of commitments and press releases on Itanium. Hammer may outsell in the first quarter all the Itaniums sold and given away for free, but that's a different subject<<<<< I feel pretty safe on this one; in fact I am taking dancing lessons shortly, so I can dance upon BMW's post 6 months after Hammers intro. While Itanium may have many commitments from the server makers, the small OEMs and white box makers far outnumber the possible sellers of Itaniums; as Hammer is a desktop chip also. Plus I expect about half of the disappointed Itanic OEM's will jump aboard the Hammer train.
