Excuse me?

Nobody knows how to run a deficit like the Dems!

There's a rather giant disconnect between facts and fantasy there.

Under which party has our gov't consistently run up the largest deficits in our nation's history?

What planet are you guys on? Its like hearing the DOJ lawyer saying, "oh no, the DOJ isn't getting any more invasive of your rights than the laws that were on the books before! We just need clarifications, that's all !"

Think about famous failures in budgetary truth-telling:

- "Read my lips"
- "We'll cut taxes, balance the budget, and build up the military"
- "Only 150 billion deficit at most"
- "1.2 million new jobs will be created"

And now we'll see the national debt go from $5.5 T to $10 Trillion, simply because the party in absolute control of gov't thinks they can get away with it, using Grover Norquist's fig leaf, "let's spend the gov't into oblivion, so we can drown gov't in the bathtub!", to cover unmatched looting of the next two generations. The only cover to hide the wealth effect of all this looting are Enron-type offshore accounts, and yet another Rumsfeld announcement that "Gosh darn it, another $2 Trillion is missing from DOD, we just can't find it, sorry, we'll do better next time".

What a racket.

You must be joking, I'll accept your emoticon that you were joking about the Dems and deficit. Because otherwise, that would be some sort of implication that the (cough) Bush-controlled GOP doesn't (hack) run up galactic deficits larger than the world has ever seen.

And I'm sure no one would suggest such a thing except in jest....
