Bush just made a huge political blunder. He is appearing before the American people to respond to Kerry's strong condemnation of his botched Iraq policy and lack of plan for success. This is going to result in a new Kerry-Bush debate on Iraq the focus of the press for the day next or so. And Kerry wins that debate easily every time because reality is on his side. About 65% of the country are on Kerry's side not Bush's and the more Bush talks about his failed policies the better to expose him for what he is, the worst commander in chief in US history, and the most dishonest. Kerry's botched joke may turn out to be quicksand for Bushies, and they stepped right into it.
