You know, I bet that if Elliott Rodgers had been middle class, the cops would have hauled him in for a 72-hour observation. The problem was that he was obviously rich and the police tiptoe around rich people. Everyone expects asians to be meek and non violent. And on the other hand, I've no doubt Rodgers could have passed the observation time and got his guns back.
