as it's been awhile since doing such, I want to make VPHM-related comments......

Most of my previous comments -- relating to investment quality -- were in the BVF thread.

Before the plec phase III results were released, I rated the odds of success at 50:50. Little did I know that 50:50 is what we would get. As I've indicated before, only one of the two trials achieved "significance" on an intent-to-treat basis.

Despite that, I held my shares. Why? Because of VP-50406. When it appeared (thanks, Ernie!) that this molecule wasn't going to cut it, I sold shares from the T/FIF portfolios (noted here) and from my PA.

In general....... I sometimes champion companies -- online -- when I don't own them. I only do such when I believe that the long-term prospects are decent.

VPHM specifics....... the business plan is still leveraged, and the R&D program is characterized by depth, breadth and excellence. I suspect that I'll -- some day -- again be a shareholder.

I usually get these long-term calls correct. OTOH, I did go back into GLIA for awhile at $6/share.

:-(

Wanted to comment.

Also.... I have my SI account configured such that I don't see many of the posts made to the VPHM thread.
