Thanks for the info and commentary. My concern with the goverment is not oblivion or ignorance of the problem. I agree with you that they are aware of the problem and you are probably correct that many packaged upgrades will be available.
However, in my estimation the coordination of the legacy clean up will require a level of coordination unseen since WWII. At this point I am concerned that they will not act in time even if a solution is available. The inertia of the project is what I am monitoring.

In addition, I am not convinced that everyone who claims they are compliant will be compliant nor every company that claims to have a remediation solution will infact guarantee or provide a warranty on their efforts. There are a thousand tort attorneys betting that a good portion of the solutions offered by companies will not provide "satisfactory" results. That is a wonderfully vague linquistic loophole that will make the tobacco settlement pale in comparison.

Again, I welcome your imput.
