PAL, I agree many of the positive AOL recommendations from brokerages are due to the brokerages' desire to participate in AOL's future financing. Also, AOL is easy for brokerages to sell, both to individuals and institutions, as a brand-name internet play. But still, though I might be expecting too much, fundamentals might--just might--suggest AOL is tad overextended and brokerages might--just might--want to exercise a little prudence in their recommendations--no, I take it back. Too much to ask.
