Before becoming a CPA, I worked for an engineering company where we had really great projects ranging from telecom to statistical work with some accounting systems in between. While I was a CPA, I filled the off-season with UNIX development and a couple of big COBOL projects. These days, even small projects are big -- the one I'm on now I've been working on since November '12, and I'm ready to get it out the door. Still, I'd rather do this work than anything else really. I really wasn't intending to complain about it. It has produced a good living for me.
