OT I'll agree that it is a shame that the people of Iraq must suffer for the ambitions of their leader.

I would certainly prefer to see them target Hussein himself, but this isn't always possible, and like it or not, he's got to go.

This is the same guy who attacked and raped Kuwait, attacked Iran, gassed their soldiers, gassed his own people, tolerates no dissent, had (and may still have) a nuclear weapons program and broke his own agreement to allow inspections. Our country has the right to end his regime. It is the irreparable harm that Hussein could do if he is allowed to survive. No western leader of responsibility is prepared to forget the lesson that Neville Chamberlain learned the hard way, when he waved the peace agreement he had just signed with Hitler and declared, 'peace for our time'.
