My first thought is Carter REALLY got a big jump in revenues during his term. How'd that happen?

Of course there was a big jump in revenues from 1983 because Volker started to lower interest rates about that time after he had squeezed the economy down to near depression levels with his extreme SQUEEZE on inflation.

Funny thing is that as those revenues went up with the Volker rate cuts we also saw the middle class start to contract.
