John,
And from the Right, I too am worried. I played with my grandson this afternoon and I worry for him.
I will support what the US does and be critical when appropriate. This seems more like the early 30s to me(with the rise of hitler and the fall of the League of Nations) than 1914. Necons react to the 30s with preemption,
and Wilsonians to 1914 with reliance on institutions and world wide opinion. We will see soon enough who is right and who is wrong. If war is coming I will hope the opponents will be constructive and not vindictive. And i hope the supporters of this war will not become so arrogant as to ignore that constructive criticism if in fact it is constructive. Mike
